For the most part, the second half of Road Trip '08 was more interesting than the first. For one, the western half of the U.S. is a helluva lot more visually appealing than the Midwest. The plan was to update my LJ on each day of our cross-country drive, but then I came up against the Days Inn in Plainfield, Indiana. zena73 and I swear the signs all said "Free WiFi Internet", which was a pleasant surprise. Rolled in from Cape Cod around 5:30 last night.  It was a good vacation, even though I wasn't able to completely relax because of the ongoing house sale stuff.  Maybe next year.   We pretty much chilled out the whole time.  We took another trip to Provincetown on the 4th, and that turned out much better than last year thanks to the weather holding ( Read more... )
