I had the pleasure of seeing the sights of Quakertown, PA when I and
zena73 headed there on Saturday to attend the wedding of one of my coworkers. A resident was kind enough to give me a lift to the Quaker meeting house where the ceremony was after I got totally lost (apparently the town is so large they ran out of street names and there are two Mill Streets). The ceremony was short but nice, after which we all convened at a local eatery for the reception.
The only real negative was the hotel, which was decidedly sub-par. I didn't fear for my life or want to wear a hazmat suit, but I'll just say that if it is indeed the Best Western then I'd hate to see the 2nd or 3rd-Best Western.
Last night I engaged in some fine athletic competition with some coworkers - we played basketball at the Hun School. For not having played the sport competitively since I was about 8 or 9, I think I did OK. No injuries, which is nice. But man, I wanted to vomit about 10 minutes in I was so winded. I am so ridiculously out of shape. Lifting weights earlier in the day surely didn't help matters.
And I can't wait to play again. How sick is that?
