(no subject)
Spent some of yesterday, last night, and today at the new house, moving in. We got the kitchen put away, some boxes and furniture pieces in semi-permanent storage, Carys's room and toys set up, and a few boxes unpacked for our bedroom and office. Wes is peeved because he can't find his cordless drill; we hope it's in some other random box, but that really slowed us down on the office assembly.
We can't really think of any reason not to, so we're going to pull things together and take Carys and Dante up there tomorrow. Exciting!
My friend that only sends me email forwards and never writes anything else sent me that essay falsely credited to Jay Leno, the one about how Americans shouldn't whine about the war in Iraq and/or the performance of the president because we have such great public services and a/c 24 hours a day. There are so many things wrong in that essay it about made my head fall off. I was getting so riled up that I just ended up deleting it for fear that I would end up e-screaming at my friend. I think I will finally email her and ask why she only sends forwards, though.
I now have an informational chat scheduled about Texas Parks & Wildlife with two other former SCA alums next Friday. That's good, feels like a step forward.
I want to post my fandom chatter tonight and possibly catch up with LJ, so more later.
