Mike arranged a surprise visit to the zoo today! The two things we wanted to do were feed lorikeets and ride the train. The two exhibits closed were exactly those. SAAD! In any case. Coming home from work today, I almost mowed down a family of skunks. There was momma skunk and three baby skunks, all crossing the street as I slowed towards them. Another dark blob paralleling their crossing somewhat further down the street turned out to be a cat. In a belated post, we had sexual harassment training last week at work.

So that was an hour of work in which I learned that someone or someones, no names will be mentioned here, may have been subjected to "unlawful harassment" in our house. In fact, perhaps it could be considered a den rife with all manners of harassment.

Since I forced Myra and Mike to come with me to the annual badly done Chinese Festival in Santa Barbara, I promised to go hiking this weekend. Best hike ever. Since it was still morning on a Sunday when we left, we went for breakfast. Deadwatch '08 adds Roy Scheider to its venerable list. Best known (to me at least) for his part as "the cop from Jaws", he would have made a totally badass Abe Lincoln. Seriously. Look at him.

Also,  Awesome Award for today is shared between three cheering middle aged men in the fume hood hooting "Oh, Baby!". 

I had my very first interview since I was 16 on Friday. It was scary. I was so nervous I was there an hour early, half an hour of sitting in my car and the other half early twiddling my thumbs in the front entryway. I went to the bathroom twice.
