“I don’t understand why we have to do this!” said a red-faced wormtail, puffing as he was carrying a large box up the stairs of the Riddle mansion.
“Because The Dark Lord thinks it’s a good idea” said an amused Lucius Malfoy, “Now get a move on.”
“What is it anyway?” asked Severus, looking curiously at the box. “Is it a new weapon?”
“Sadly, no. It’s a muggle device called a ‘computer’” Drawled Lucius, “It seems the Dark Lord has discovered something called ‘the internet’.”
“What could he want with that?” asked Severus.
“I guess we’ll find out soon enough.”

Voldemort managed to capture Hermione while she was living with her parents over summer. She had made several unsuccessful escape attempts, and was now biding her time in the dungeons. Severus had managed to make several visits to her, to ensure that she was treated well, and kept her up-to-date on the latest happenings.
“He’s gone and bought himself a new computer,” Severus said, looking rather amused.
“What does he want that for? How does he know what a computer is?” asked Hermione wonderously.
“Apparently he wants to use the internet.”
“I’d like to see what for; www.worlddomination.com or www.purebloodsrule.net!”

Later on, Hermione was summoned to Voldemort’s side.
“You are familiar with computers are you not, Mudblood?” he asked, sneering down at Hermione.
“I am.”
“Then make it work,” he said, pointing to the computer.
On closer inspection, Hermione could see a few dents in the muggle device, as well as a number of scorch marks from spells cast at it. Amused, Hermione plugged the various wires in, switched on the plug and pressed the ‘power’ button.
“How did you do that? I demand to know,” Voldemort said in disbelief.
“It normally helps if you press the ‘on’ switch.”
“Crucio!”

Soon enough, Hermione was sent back to her cell, while Voldemort was busy planning world domination through the internet. It had been an entertaining day, although she was often cursed when Voldemort realised she was laughing at him.
There was a knock on the door, and Hermione was surprised to see someone enter.
“Severus?” she asked curiously.
“Hermione, I have some potions to help with the after effects of the cruciatus curse. Are you O.K.?”
“Thank you, but I’m fine, really.”
“Take them anyway, and please don’t provoke the Dark Lord so next time.”
“You were worried about me?”
“Indeed.”
