Life was… surprisingly good. He had a nice house (not Spinner's End), an absolutely marvellous library, and an excellently equipped laboratory. The bedroom was nothing to sneeze at, either--particularly as it was often occupied by a lovely, learned, passionate wife. He still felt rather smug about being able to snaffle Hermione right after the war ended.
There was an order of Merlin on the mantel, recognition for his talents, and more Galleons in the bank than he could get through in three lifetimes. Hell, he even had houseboys.
"Potter! Weasley! Tidy this room immediately!"
