Date Night
Her grasp on my bicep tightened as we passed one horrific scene after another.
The clown standing over a casket. The lifeless, bloodstained body hanging from the noose. The shredded limbs of a woman with a large beast towering above. The demented features were disturbing, but none compared to some of what I had seen working with the Dark Lord years ago.
As we finally reached the end, she turned to me, “Severus, you weren’t even the least bit scared that whole time?”
I rolled my eyes and shrugged, causing her to playfully slap my arm.
“Well now that that’s over…” I allowed our lips to meet briefly, “I choose where we go next week.”
