Despite dour looks and grumbles about rain, Hermione was able to coax Severus out into the countryside. The sun shone and she saw him relax as they walked.
A big gust of wind blew at them, and Hermione immediately found herself in Severus’ arms, his warm outer robes enveloping her with their spicy, masculine scent.
“As I said before, the outdoors is full of dangers,” Severus murmured by her ear.
“That was only the wind,” Hermione laughingly protested.
Severus kissed her neck.
“The sign of an oncoming storm, obviously. I suggest we entertain ourselves… indoors.”
Hermione couldn't help but smile.
