'Things happen in threes,' thought Hermione from where she sat in a puddle. In a Muggle area, she could hardly pull her wand to fix things.
First, the heavens had opened. Then, dashing through the downpour, her heel broke. Arms flailing, she bounced off somethingone firm and fell on her backside.
A hand reached down and she found herself pulled to her feet.
A black umbrella suddenly sheltered her, and a wave of wandless magic left her dry and heel fixed. Looking up into the amused face of Severus Snape, she smiled, 'and maybe not all of them are bad!'
