Silvery shafts of moonlight muted the color of the dark chocolate, making its caress of the creamy white beneath decadent. With one final dribble across the peak, he broke the sweet tether between sauce and flask. A swipe of his coated pinky across his tongue tantalized.
Eyes shuttered against distraction, the anticipation flowed like a seductive Amortentia. Entranced by the heady smell of combined-
“Severus!”
The spoon rattled against the countertop.
Caught.
He groaned.
“Didn’t we agree these midnight trips to the kitchen needed to stop?”
He opened his eyes to an irritated wife. “But Hermione, it’s only one scoop.”
