Hermione slipped unnoticed into the shop, just another witch shopping. Hermione hadn’t entered a shop. It was a spartan room. She placed Rose on the bed. She looked at her watch. Where was he? They only had two hours. This weekly meeting, hidden from Ron, and the lie she lived, kept her sane. Rose’s joyful squeal announced his presence. “Severus.” She sighed, as he took her in his arms. She flinched when he touched her shoulder. Moving her sleeve, he saw the livid bruise. “Weasley,” he growled. “I can not send you and our daughter back to him.”
