How can looking forward to an event and watching it for twenty-four hours wear us out so much? Dear Oatmeal and I enjoyed the whole Inaugural but have been dead tired ever since. How can looking forward to an event and watching it for twenty-four hours wear us out so much? Now, that's something I've wondered about many times. Will you tell me, if you find an answer?

To boost your energy, you could do what Donna Eden calls the "three thumps." Lightly beat k-27 (point 27 on the kidney meridian), it's in the slight hollow that's diagonally underneath (down and out) the Sterno-clavicular joint, while you take three deep, slow breaths. Then move over to "the Tarzan thump," beat your chest lightly with your fist, three breaths. And then a point that's underneath the breasts, between the lower rib and the next. Same procedure. To top it off, march in an exaggerated fashion, swinging your arms and legs, for one minute. It works wonders. And if you're still tired after this, you'll need tu unscramble your energies some more. Tell me, and I'll write up the descriptions for that.

Yay for writing progress! You're wonderfully prolific.

I followed your instructions and do feel more energized. I didn't get a chance to do my water aerobics today because we were at a doctor's appointment and buying food. I always feel better after about forty-five minutes exercising in warm water.

We have a steady soaking rain. It is snowing just up the freeway.
