Hiding from the party upstairs.

After this conversation. And is happening the same time as the party on the roof for Aggie.

She told herself she needed just a moment, but she knew a moment would never be enough. By the time she had unlocked the door to her apartment tears were falling down her cheeks. She missed home, she missed her friends and those she called family, the places that had become important to her over the years. She missed her best friends and one of them was someone she had loved for so long.

Leaning back against the door she hid her face in her hands and began to sob. It had been over a year since she had seen them and seeing Harry, that other Harry, at the beach party had made her miss her friends even more.

Hermione could almost hear Ron's chiding her for being a silly little girl, Harry always there to comfort her when she needed it, just like she did now. She looked up as she heard Hedgewig hoot at her from the corner of the room where she sat on her perch. 'I miss him too,' she said softly, finally moving from the door and towards the sofa near the perch.

'I miss him so much, both of them.' She started to worry again. Just after she moved into this apartment she had written Ron a letter telling her how she had felt about him, how she had loved him for all those years and she still hadn't had a letter back and she hadn't heard from Harry in forever too. Maybe something was wrong, maybe they were both dead and she was the last one that Voldemort had to get out of the three of them.

Sinking down onto the sofa she curled up in a ball and hid her head in her arms, crying softly. She felt so alone, even with all these people around her, she felt so very alone.
