Well, I'm back at school now. Yippee. Actually, it looks as though my classes will be pretty interesting this semester. I'm taking Religions East and West, English country house (a course on English culture), Europe 1890-1945, and Biology of the Tropics. However, they'll all be a lot of work, especially reading (which I should actually be doing now, but oh well). If I don't have some kind of nervous breakdown before the end of the semester, I'll be very surprised.

Anyway, about my trip to Texas. *Warning: much of what I'll have to say will do with food.

The first night we got there we ate at...well, I can't remember the name of it, but it was a really good tex-mex restaurant in San Antonio. The next day we went to see where my parents lived when they were growing up there. My favorite day was when we went to San Marcos, which is where I really grew up. I got to visit my old elementary schools, a great gift store called Paper Bear, and to the wondrous outlet malls they have there. We got to eat breakfast that day at Taco Cabana, which serves really good breakfast tacos. The next day we went to Austin to visit the University of Texas and to visit my relatives who live in Dripping Springs. That was...not a whole lot of fun (the latter part, I mean). But, the highlight of the day was getting to eat a Jim's restaurant, which has the best Tortilla soup. We also went to a Spurs game somewhere in all that mess. It was odd because I actually got into it. Ginobli was really awesome that night, too. We visited the River Walk and the Alamo on New Year's Eve. We also went to The Barn Door that night, which is THE place for great steaks. After that, we came home and nothing exciting has happened since. Sigh. In any case, I should probably do my homework now. Double Sigh.
