-and many more things that would just take far too long to list.

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I think I forgot to make one last year, which kind of sucks. Next year, I want to balance my schoolwork and my readings better so that I'm not going insane at the last minute trying to do essays

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
My cousin Billy fathered a child. We were fairly close growing up. Unfortunately, I've never met the baby because the mother dumped him shortly after the birth and moved several hours away with the baby. It's so sad.

4. Did anyone close to you die?
My Auntie Helen died. We were incredibly close and I'll miss her immensely. She was like a second grandmother to me and I loved her very much.

5. What countries did you visit?
I stayed home this year. How sad.

6. What would you like to have in 2000 that you lacked in 2008?
Money, disposable wealth. It is shallow and selfish, I know, but I would like to just once have some cash that I can waste without worry.

7. What date from 2008 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
I don't really know, there are so many. Probably Christmas this year because it was so bizarrely different from any other Christmas ever.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Graduating University and being accepted into a Masters program. That, and being told I was the best tour guide at my work.

9. What was your biggest failure?
Historiography.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
I had the flu which kept me bedridden for an entire week.

11. What was the best thing you bought?
A book of medieval recipes. Good times were had by all.

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Anyone who worked in parodies of the news. They really made all the elections this year tons of fun.

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
The staunch conservatives in my social groupings.

14. Where did most of your money go?
Bills, bills, bills.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
School.

16. What song will always remind you of 2008?
Freshmen

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
i. happier or sadder? Happier, I was pretty emo last year.
ii. thinner or fatter? slightly thinner
iii. richer or poorer? Poorer

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
I don't really have any regrets about this year. I think I did a lot of things that were very new and unusual. I wish my social life hadn't taken a nose-dive in september though. I miss my friends.

19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Playing on the computer instead of doing homework.

20. How did you spend Christmas?
With family, away from home. It was quite novel

21. Did you fall in love in 2007?
No, I didn't.

22. How many one-night stands?
None.

23. What was your favorite TV program?
I've bounced through several. I really liked the Daily Show and the Colbert Report, along with Merlin, and Dr Who.

24. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
Not really hate, no. I strongly dislike a large number of people that I was indifferent to last year.

25. What was the best book you read?
I got nothin. I haven't been reading for fun all that much.

26. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Not much. I rediscovered the joy of movie sountracks.

27. What did you want and get?
Paint

28. What did you want and not get?
Boardgames.

29. What was your favorite film of this year?
Little Miss Sunshine (Got it for Christmas)

30. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I have absolutely no idea what I did for my birthday....oh wait, it involved daiquiris with my friend Nikki and then hitting our old high school to watch their craptastic school play.

31.Whats one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
If I actually finished my term at the beginning of september instead of it bleeding into second term

32. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2008?
Absolutely no effort placed.

33. What kept you sane?
Music

34. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
I got nothin

35. What political issue stirred you the most?
the American Election. Once again, very dad.

36. Who did you miss?
I kind of miss my brother's family. They just moved away after living with us for like 2 years. It's been strange to not have them here,

37. Who was the best new person you met?
I met all my new work friends and all my new school friends. They are all really cool and I'm glad to have met them.

38. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2008.
Change is hard, but is infinitely satisfying in the end.

39. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year..
"Can we climb this mountain? I don't know
Higher now than ever before
I know we can make it if we take it slow
That's takin easy, easy now, watch it go."

Sorry, I couldn't think of anything better.

Happy New Year!
