Miranda came over yesterday afternoon and gave me a makeover of sorts. I thought she was crazy at first, but now, I'm not quite sure. Talked me into trying on clothes I never would have worn in a million years. It's kinda crazy because I've never seen myself as particularly attractive before. Nyeh. Then we went out shopping so I could get clothes for dancing. And then we had to get shoes. I have never tried on so many shoes in my life. I now have three new pairs of shoes. THREE! That's crazy. That more than doubled the number of shoes I used to own. She'd probably have tried to talk me into getting more, except I draw the line at platforms. They're just accidents waiting to happen.
And the clothes I got. Good grief. I don't know what I'm going to do with them. I mean, seriously, when am I ever going to wear them? I think I spent a small fortune on clothes and things that I ordinarily would never have given a second glance. I sure hope Miranda knows what she's doing because I sure as hell don't.
I've been getting better at thinking in English, lately. It's deuced difficult, sometimes, but I make sure to only lecture in English, and I haven't slipped up yet.
Oh, I have a new addition to my household: Jasmine. Yes, it's a plant, but apparently, one is supposed to name plants, according to one Marton Csokas. It's a beautiful plant, and I hope it at least survives the week. I got Marton to help me out, because, seriously, what do I know about plants? Nothing.
Marton is a really, really interesting fellow. His entire house is like a miniature jungle. Plants all over the place, and his greenhouse is phenomenal. All his plants are healthy and lush. At least, they look healthy and lush to me. I mean, if a plant's green, all is well, right? He did something to the jasmine plant that I have and then gave me some instructions on how to look after her. I have the paper somewhere... I'm really impressed. I guess if Jasmine is ailing, I know who to go to. Heck, if I'm ailing I know who to go to. Talk about alternative medicine.
