So yes I am about a month behind in my journal. But I just havn't had the time and even with my good intentions somehow all of the posts I start get deleted or lost in the world of internet. ( You have no idea how many important, long and time comsuming things that the interent just sucks up!!) So here is the 'speedy version' of Paris, Scotland & London...meaning here are my 4 favorite pictures from each place and then boom bang done :) Enjoy!
Paris
We saw a ton of famous and note worthy things in Paris...And I do mean a ton including Notre Dame, Sainte-Chapelle, Musee d'Orsay, The Louvre, Arc de Triomphe, Champs Elysees, and the Effiel Tower...and that was all in the first day! We also went to Versailles. The bottom pic is of Hailey and I in the gardens at Versailles ( It is my favorite picture from Prais/France since Versialles isn't really in Paris) and then all of us eating crepes for dessert in Paris on our last night. So good...look a the chocolate and cream on them : ) Yummy!
Scotland:
Scotland was my favorite country of the 4 I visited on this trip which is why it gets the honor of having more pictures. While I was in Scotland it started me thinking that it may be where I would like to do a University Exchange to in my thrid year...but that is a long ways a way. So on with the pictures!
I really love this picture of Ray driving in Scotland. He did a really good job driving on the other side of the road. I can personally imagine that it was quite difficult expecially when we didn't know where we were going all the time:) We drove on our first day up into the Highlands to this castle which was donated to the Scotish Hostel Assoc and converted into a hostel. It was quite cool inside with lots of scultuputres and space everywhere. There were also lots of doors and hallways and stairs but what can you do...I only got lost once I think!
These pictures were taken near the caslte. We wandered around after we arrived and took a nice walk, enjoyed scenery and of course took lots of pictures. Look us in a telly booth!
The next day we drove to Edingburgh. On the way I put in the request to go see Nessie. We went to this Loch Ness Exhibition 2000 place but we didn't go inside. We just took pictures with Nessie and then headed to the gift shop where I spent too much money!! But it was quite fun. We also drove along Loch Ness but Nessie didn't come up to say hello. The picture of the bus is a fav too and was taken in Edinburgh. I don't know if you can see it but it says...IDEAL FOR EVERY DOM, DICK OR HARRY. MILK THE WHITE STUFF. I love it! This bus picture gets added to my milk poster collection when I get home!
This is us eating breakfast in Edinburgh. This place was really cool with all sorts of like car themed things inside as decorations. They also served the best hot chocolate I have ever had. I promise it was good stuff. The next picuture was taken the following day after we visited Edinburgh Castle. The Caslte is on the Royal Mile which is the centre of Edinburghs Old Town. Our hostel was at the other end of the Royal Mile...quite the prime spot.
This is us spending the night in the Pestwick airport. We had a early flight so we dropped off the car and then just spent the evening repacking and organizing things. I love the look on Rays face in this picture! (Zoom and take note the expression is priceless : ) ) To me it says 'Look at all this stuff! What are we going to do with it!' The 'Pure dead Brilliant' sign was the airport theme I guess. I sure felt 'Pure dead' after spending the night there but I was nothing near 'Brilliant'! I almost fell asleep while we were in line to check in. That was some sleep deprivation!!
London:
London was the only place on this trip that I had been to before but it was nice to go back just for two days for a visit. And I got to go up in the London Eye which we didn't get to do when we went as a family.
So the first picture is Jan, Hailey and I up in the London Eye. It was really crazy to be that far up. We went at aound 7ish so the sun wasn't really settig fully yet but it was still really pretty up there. The other picture is of Big Ben and the Eye in the background. That one is my favorite that I took in London.
This is my favorite airplane picture and I have been flying quite alot recently. I am in a plane more than I am in a car in all honestly!
Cheers Everyone!
