It has been so long since my last entry! After going to the Ice Hotel Christmas Holidays ended and I moved back to my house once my host family returned. Going back to school was really really hard for me and the first two weeks back were not really happy ones for me. However since then I have done some major revamping of my timetable and I am loving school now. When I started after Christmas I had only 3 classes: Math E, Fisiks B, and World Religions. Now, however, I am taking Math E and Fisiks B with my normal class (NV3) and then I am also taking Idrott & Hälsa (PE), Träna Mera (More Training...an all girls class that is like fitness and strenghtening etc), Math D, and Engelska B with NV2. I took Engelska B with NV2 before Christmas and they were happy to have me join in some of their classes this semester. The reason that I am taking so few classes with NV2 is because they don't have alot of normal classes this semester because Studenten (Graduation) is coming up so they had more classes in the first semester. They also have a year project due in this semester which I don't have to do... :).
But in other news...I have moved host families! Last weekend I spent all saturday packing up all of my stuff for my first host family switch. I was so surprised at how little stuff I had. I thought to myself...this is everything I have...that is not very much. But then at the same time I had so much!! I think the weight of it all made up for the fact that it didn't 'look' like much...it sure weighed a ton! I had 2 large orange suitcases, one small carry-on suitcase, my carry-on bag, my laundry bag stuffed full, and a huge box of food which I recieved for Christmas & am quite enjoying! (Woo Cheerios!) So all of this was loaded into the van and driven less than 2km to my new house where it was then hauled up a big spiral stair case to the attic where my new room is. Watching my host Dad and sister haul up the two huge suitcases made me feel so bad...I mean those things were over 65lbs when I left and I can't imagine what they weighed when I moved!
Now I am almost fully unpacked...I still have some organizational issues that I am trying to fix but that is just me and my wierd enjoyment of organizing my room (right Dad?). Once I get everything organized and all the books, clothes, and random papers put away I will post some pictures of my room and the inside of the house. Below are some pictures of the outside of the house.
This is a picture of the house from the street. As you can see the house is up on a hill and is really really BIG! The window on the top to the left is my window. I have a fantastic view of the sunsets from that window. Here is a picture of the sunset today at 4:20.
My new host family, Eva Dahlberg & Peter Nummert, where Phil's (other exchange student in my club also from Canada) first host family. This made moving much easier because I already the family fairly well. I now have an older sister, Louise 19, and a younger brother, William 12, a dog named Daisy and a rabbit named Skippy (or something like that). Peter and Eva also have an older son, Alexander 17, who is in Melbourne, Australia on a Rotary exchange.
Well that is all for now...until I am home when it is sunny to take pictures of the inside of the house and my room. Soon it isn't going to be so dark! When I went to school at 7:30 it was almost light out Yay!
