Things are good, but maybe a little weird.
This weeekend was great. I finished my last final, and it really wasn't bad. I was a bit pissed because I spent 89% of my time studying O-->A for life, then to yo mama...problems, and there were 3 of them on the whole test! WTF. Plus, it was 25 multiple choice, which weren't the greatest ever. But the 2 essays were fine. One was Landlord/Tenant, the other was to basically write about Property Law and how it's muddled "social equality" over history. Most of my class seemed freaked out by that question, but I think I rocked it--talked about Freehold estates in feudal times, land lord tenant then and now, and zoning...plus some other ripe lil gems. ha.
Had all kinds of plans after wards to get my hair cut, eat dinner at my dad's, but ended up drinking a bunch of McG's, then passing out til 9. Then I went to my dad's and met Jess there, and we met up with some friends in Red Bank. Definitely a good time.
The next day I played with my little sister and watched the OC with the gang on Tivo. Dammit I want a Tivo! I've been putting off buying it bc Comcast is supposed to have a receiver with DVR for only 10 bux a month, but it's taking them FOREVER to get enough in to meet demand. WTF!?
Then I went shopping in Middletown. Strip mall suburbia madness. haha. Barnes and Noble was successful. Got lost in there for hours. Of course bought myself a few books- one on succeeding in business (dork), and one called "The Georgetown Women's Social Club," all about the fabulous women who ruled G'town back in the day. I started reading it last night, and it totally reminded me why I want to move to DC. I am so freaking conflicted about my future.
Part of me wants to go to DC. Part of my wants to go to NY, and part of my just wants good old Jersey! Actually, a lot of me wants Jersey. I love my family and friends, and the politics here. The next year, I think, is going to be a real turning point for my future. I'll know between now and next January whether I'll need a new job (likely), and where I'll be working in the future...Hell, maybe I'll even be out of here in May if I get a really good summer associateship--but again, what the hell do i want to do?! ughhh..
I'm looking forward to next semester- taking Evidence with a supposedly easy Prof, Legislation (if I can't ace that class I'm screwed), and I'll be a TA for Legal Research and Writing--now THAT should be interesting! Me! A teacher! hahaha. Poor kids. I think I'll hold office hours at McG's. lol.
Back to shopping. Best Buy sucked. After picking out some CDs for gifts, I got no customer service, which I desperately needed. After an hour, I ended up walking out in a huff, sick of the lines and lack of help. Oh well, I'll hit up Target tonight for some goodies :p
Then, for the best trip of the day, I got new skis and boots. Both Soloman, light blue, and ADORABLE! I cannot WAIT to hit the slopes!!!
And one week from today I'll be in Miami. Things are looking up I tell you.
Work front--Excelon is buying up PSEG- huge deal! They're announcing today--I wonder if they'll hire me! hahaha.
