an epic novel - aka an update

ugh today... seriously...

school was awful, plain and simple.  school starts at 9, at like... 915 we had to take all of the students out of the classroom because one of the kids was throwing all of the things off of the tables and then flipped all of the tables and stood on one of the tables in the back room and took all of the things off of the shelves above the cubbies and threw them across the room too.  so that ruined my Language Arts lessons and he went to in-school suspension for the day.  so we came back to class and did some work, but one of the kids didn't want to stay in his seat.  so after telling him multiple times to get in his seat, i gave him a final warning and told him i was going to take his penny off his chair.  (they have pennies to stay on their seats, if they sit when they should, they keep their pennies and earn pennies at the end of hte day for the treasure box)  he still didn't go sit so i took his penny, he then proceeded to kick me.  well, out went the class again.  Naturally, my cooperating teacher was out of the room at this time so i was sort of standing there not knowing what to do.  Now, luckily the intervention specialist for the building was walking down the hall so i grabbed her and she tried to talk to the kiddo who was laying on the floor eating a sucker that wasn't his, and just pouting.  so the cooperating teacher came back, then she talked to him so i went next door.  we brought our kids back, and she took the kicker on a walk.  so we did recess, then it was lunch.  then my college observer showed up, and watched math, which did NOT go as well as my lessons usually do because i was thrown by the whole morning and because the kids were all riled up because of the mornings events but she said she was still impressed with me, so i guess that's good.  so science, then end of the day.  all i can say was, thank goodness it was over!

so then i had an appointment with a gastroenterologist (hence forth referred to as GI)  i met mom there because i'm scared of doctors that aren't my pediatrician (whom i still see... she said she'll see me until i graduate from college, so leave me alone lol)  so we went in, gave them all of my paperwork, did my blood pressure (120/70 which is sort of high for me i think, but i have low b/p ... so nurse Mel, is that good or high?)  and she did my weight.  then waited a bit more, went back and chatted with the GI, he's pretty nice.  then i put on a gown, he poked and pushed on my stomach a bit, listened to my breathing and that was it.  he wants to do an endoscopy and i'm going to have my gall bladder ultra-sounded.

so, this weekend is is going to be a bummer... Saturday morning 10am, gall bladder ultrasound at Lake West then going to visit Jeff for a little while (since i wrecked our vday plans with my appts on monday.)  then home to sleep, church on Sunday, membership class on Sunday night, then sleep to go to the GI again at 730 on Monday morning for the endoscopy.  (i'll be doped up, so it wont be bad, but mom has to go with me because i can't drive)  then home to sleep that off, eat, etc. then the ENT on Monday at 330 for the lump on the back of my jaw.  so, happy valentines day to me haha.

alright, other than today though, things have been going well.  i love teaching, despite the chaos that happens on occasion.  hopefully i'll learn a LOT when i do my Intervention Specialist training, because i really don't feel prepared for it.  so yes, that's all.  any advice on dealing with the wonderful children who throw things, i'll take it lol!

until then, hope you all are having wonderful semesters, Jeopardy is on!
