January Multi-Fandom Fic Recs
January tends to be a fairly low fanfic-reading month for me, as I'm generally still recovering from all of the fic I read for the December fests, particularly Erised. But I did manage to read a bit, and my favorites from the month are below!

It's Writ, so you know the dialogue and writing are amazing, and I adored the characterizations here and this whole kinky character study! Daddy kink isn't always my thing with Drarry but it was perfectly done here, and honestly the whole thing was fabulous. Writ's mentioned that they're planning to add more to this 'verse someday, but it absolutely works as a standalone if, like me, you just can't wait!

Oh goodness, this fic is SO GOOD. I am obsessed with the way Writ writes this pairing and it's no surprise that a fic written just for me hit all of my buttons!! The sense of atmosphere here is gorgeous, and all of the characterizations are spot-on. I loved James's voice and his struggles after leaving Hogwarts and trying to find himself in a world that's so very different from what he's known. Lovely relationship between Sirius and James, some SUPER hot sex, and a wonderful ending!

Ooo, this series is SO GOOD. It's an AU where Spock's dad was killed when he was young so Spock was raised on earth and became a cop instead of going into Starfleet, before being assigned to work in Riverside where he meets Jim. The characterizations here are great and the way things unfold to incorporate events from the first movie but from this slightly different perspective was super well done. Gorgeous relationship between Spock and Jim, and just a lovely read!
