H/D Fan Fair 2016 Recs
hd-fan-fair's Pet Fair posted their reveals over the weekend, so it's time for some recs! This is one of my favorite fests of the year, because the rotating themes always offer up some fun variety, and there never fails to be some truly amazing fic. These are just a few of my absolute favorites, but I absolutely recommend also checking out their masterlist to see the other gems on offer. :D
Title: Professor Potter and his Magical Menagerie

Oh, this fic is so much fun! Draco is fantastic as a strict, but fair, professor (though of course, he thinks he's being terrifying) and Harry is dead sexy as the flirtatious Care of Magical Creatures Professor. Draco's voice was really great here, and I loved watching Harry wear Draco down. ;)

This fic is just awesome! Draco as a crup trainer is adorably sexy, and of course, Harry is smitten right away, both with Draco, and his sweet new crup partner. We get both Harry and Draco's POV here, and their voices and characterizations are really great. It was wonderfully watching them come together so naturally, and the crup training along the way was seriously lovely.

OMG, this fic is fucking awesome! Harry's voice is great here, and he's fantastic as the Auror who needs to investigate the influx of dragonhide in Great Britain, which, of course, leads him to Draco looking sinful in dragonhide trousers! The story was lovely, the chemistry between Harry and Draco was sizzling, and JFC the sex was seriously freaking hot. Love!

This fic was seriously so good!! I know puppy play is definitely not everybody's thing, and it's not something I generally look for in fic, but it was so wonderfully written here and I highly recommend you give this a chance, even if it's not a kink you tend to read. It's not even about sex, really, it's about Harry wanting to let go, needing a place where he can feel safe and loved and let go of all the chaos in his mind. The kink negotiation here is wonderful, watching Draco slowly coax Harry out of his shell and getting him to admit his desires. The two of them fit together so perfectly. And I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the sex, which is seriously smoking hot on top of everything else. Seriously, give this fic a shot, you won't be disappointed!

Awesome case!fic! A savage beast is loose in London and it's up to Auror Potter and Beast Division Liason Malfoy to find and stop it. I loved the relationship between Draco and Harry here, the antagonism that turns into a wary trust. The characterizations are great and I really enjoyed watching their growing feelings against the fascinating backdrop of the case plot. Really engaging read!
