It's been a busy weekend
Meg and Baby just left after coming up for the weekend, their car packed solidly of stuff that is now theirs and out of our barn..yay!! We had storms, lost power for a bit and ended up having a wonderful time on the boat and catching the nice hot sun and then a beautiful sunset. Life is twice as sweet since Meg took Lulu, her German Shepard a few weeks ago and this weekend Oscar, her Hemingway cat moved to Chicago. Our cats, Tom-kitty, Kao and Mr. Butter have never quite let Oscar into their private circle, despite his 2 year stay with us, resulting in a lot of wars and battle scars for all as well as an uneasy tolerance only relieved by the fact they all love to go outdoors. We've just finished a wonderful meal, the star of which was halibut and salmon encrusted wth a herb/salt mixture posted in food porn yesterday and all I can say about that recipe is WOW!!!
At any rate it is now a bit overcast having rained and cooled off and may just stay that way soooo I am off to enjoy my Mother's Day gift from Meg delivered on Friday, a huge basket of bath and body products by Giovanni(just my personal favorite)...enough to last me for months. The whirlpool is full and scented, I have a face masque on, after I which I'll wax everything. I am conditioning my hair, elbows, feet and knees, and then will slather up and powder the heck out of my limbs before I climb into some silky pj's...only to have to settle down and get ready for the hard upcoming work week, including a brief I have to churn out yet. Hope life is treating all my friends well this weekend as we move into these early days of summer...there is nothing else that quite compares!
