I saw Spangish today. I enjoyed it. Laughed really good and cried too. However, I thought it was one of the worst for Adam Sandler. He just never made the character real. But Tea Leoni was SUPERB, and I love a movie where I can find myself in more than one character. That takes character development and this film did it well. It had the same feel as Love Actually, portrayed as a chick flick but not one at all.
The one line that stayed with me till now, was from Cloris Leachman talking to her daughter, "Lately, your low self-esteem is just good common sense." I want to use that line, sometime. Perfect in the right situation.
I went by myself and the theater was packed for a 2 PM showing. I'm going to go again tomorrow and I think I'll see Ocean's Twelve. And Saturday, Christmas day, I'm working.
Joy.
