Viva la France

Anyways. My OKCupid meet up was hilarious. He texted me when he got there and asked if I was there, I wasn't so I texted back that I was almost there. Texting and driving, go me. He sent me one back that he got a table inside so I at least knew he was there, though when I walked in and started looking around and there was no one that fit the description of Fabien. So I sent him a text back that said "where? I'm here" and then he walked out from the bathrooms.

HUGE French Accent. The table he'd gotten was also right in the middle of two people studying so I was a little worried that we were going to drive them crazy. Thankfully, these stools by the window opened up and the girl let us know, so we only spent like a minute at the awkward table.

Once we moved to the new place it was so much better because we could talk and I could try to understand him better, it was hard. There were a lot of things he said that I just said uh-oh or oh because I really had no idea and didn't think him repeating himself was going to help at all really. So we talked for about two hours almost and the things that I got were that he works at the DMC, he has a doctorate, he studies epilepsy, has been in the US since 2009, lives in Royal Oak, is 33 and that's about what I got. He's really funny, super cute and at the end of the date he said that he wanted to see me this weekend, and I think (accent) he said that if he gets out of work at a decent time he'd text me tomorrow.

When we walked out of Starbucks, he gave me a hug and then kissed me. That threw me off but then I thought "French". I sent him a text and thanked him for meeting me for coffee and he sent one back that said I was cute and nice…and that he couldn't wait to hang out with me again, except I think he actually said "spend time" instead of hang out.

So hopeful, let's see what happens. Hopefully he'll actually contact me ha ha.
