Summer Beach Adventure - Second Day of Travel

Jul 21, 2013 11:42

Okay so because i thought I was going to have a big get-together with my friends back in Asheville, I flew into there but if i had realized it would fall to pieces, than I would have flown into Raleigh-Durham.

I think I woke up around Seven. Then the packing commenced! Bea and I packed my bags, her bags, plus tons of food into her car. I didn't think to take pictures. We headed out about 9 a.m.

Leaving Asheville.

This was the worst gas station ever. It was super expensive because it was off a 12 mile stretch that had no exits whatsoever and then when we got there it said it opened at 8 a.m. but it was closed. Plus it wouldn't take my card. I tried five or more times. Then just as we were about ti give up hope (which was difficult to do because we were on empty) the guy who was supposed to open the shop showed up. Two hours later!

The gas was really expensive too.

But then we headed back on the road.

After another hour or so we needed a break.  We ha been eating left over pizza, milano cookies, and goldfish for snacks but we needed a good bit of caffeine.

This is in Eastern North Carolina. I liked these pretty, pink trees.

Sometimes I don't think NC looks that different from NE.

Pretty clouds.

We are in the marshes. That means we were getting close.

Ocean!

The first bridge

And back into marches.

Another bridge!

It was realy long.

Beach! I see beach.

As this point, we still had a ways to go but I took a million pictures anyway.

Almost there for reas!

Another long bridge.

The sound.

So close now. I think this was near Pea Island.

This was not our house. Apparently I forgot to take a picture. Oh wait.....

I took a picture on the last day.

This is a view from the top porch out towards the ocean.

It was a full moon.

I forgot that the moon doesn't always photograph well.

Let's see. When we got there we unpacked. We pulled in right behind Bea's parents so we helped them unload too. I think we walked out to the ocean that day at least. I didn't go into the water yet though because the waves were just to strong an scary for me. (seeing as I have never been to the beach before.) Plus by the time we got there an unpacked it was close to 5 p.m. We had Nathan's hot dogs for supper. n____n

Yum.

Oh! And Bea and I shared a room.

I apparently forgot to take pictures of the inside of the house. Oh well. Here is the website for the house we were in! Though they don't have the room Bea and I were in as part of the gallery.
