Who: Lauren and Frederick What: Mixed emotions and confusion galore! Where: Hallways When: Saturday, September 22nd, 4 pm Warnings: Hopefully None Open to: Professor York
It was hard not to, really. Lauren no longer floated about the room to sit by various people, taking on multiple partners when it came time to brew. She stuck to the back, never speaking up or adding to the class discussions. It was absolutely disappointing, because he had been eager to see how she took to the new courses he'd discussed with her. All that prep work, and the one person one of the people who he thought would appreciate it seemed not to notice

Yes!!! It was very, VERY painful for her to stay in ONE SPOT during class!! Unable to socialize and mingle and muck about with others! Ugh, you have no idea what it was doing to her nerves. To her sanity. Sitting in one spot during the whole class made her want to go psycho and jump out the window. She wanted to tear out her hair at the end, needing to run around outside afterwards or something in order to get all that suppressed energy out of her

Frederick would agree that mind-reading would be an asset at this point. How he wished that he were a Legilimens!! He could simply zip into Lauren's mind and-- no, no. He wouldn't do that. It was a horrible invasion of privacy. No matter how desperate he was to really know why she'd decided to avoid him.
"Right," he replied, sounding just as eloquent in speech as she had. "Still-- clumsy of me. Er, not paying attention. Not that you weren't... Nevermind." He chuckled nervously, then shook his head as he stood and raked a hand through his hair

"Actually, I wasn't paying attention, either," She easily admitted, shrugging slightly as she straightened up again. If he was going to just stand there and not pick up his scattered belongings... well, she'd wait and help him once he realized. Maybe he was in just as much shock as she was at seeing him. At bumping into him. And Merlin's pants, let's not forget he had touched her.
Only she was not going to focus on that. Lauren was not going to allow herself to focus on that bit because it hadn't meant anything. Lots of people, blokes, touched her all the time. Not a big deal. This didn't need to be made into something it wasn't.
Good grief, when had her mind become so paranoid and over analyzing?? It was going to drive her batty.
Smiling lightly, she added, "So I guess we're both to blame." Why did her smile feel forced? Why was this so awkward for her?? GUH!! Lauren kind of hated herself at this point. She was turning into Andra someone she did not recognize
