For most of her life, Sam had been a person to rely on logic. On reason. Facts, things that were set in stone... those were what made sense to her. She supposed it was because she was a Ravenclaw and that's just what she knew. Getting emotional and so... attached to people outside of her family wasn't what she was used to doing. Sure, she had friends, but she wasn't particularly close to people she wasn't related to.
Of course, things had changed drastically, and in the past few months, she'd gotten her first kiss (which, really, she found it a little odd to have been seventeen before that happened... but with who had made her absolutely giddy) and somehow managed to get her first boyfriend. And now? Now she'd been with said boy for almost three months and more things had happened in those three months then had happened in her entire life -- including her boyfriend and best friend both being kidnapped. She'd never been more scared in her life and the past few weeks had been spent not only focusing on schoolwork, but for once in her life, she wasn't, couldn't ignore her feelings.
She needed to talk to someone about things. Badly. And it wasn't as if she could talk to Darin about it, since... he was the center of her current inner conflict, or else she'd gone straight to him. No, it was best to keep things under wraps for now and to herself... mostly. One other person would hear about it and that person would be ash.
Sighing a bit, she tugged on one of her curls as she knocked once on Ash's door before going in. "... Ashleigh? You here?"
