Today wasn't a bad day, all things considered. Not that there had been a lot of good days in the castle lately, in general, but... well, today was a better day than some of the more recent days had been.
Emily had spent part of her morning in the library, catching up on a bit of homework that was due that she hadn't quite finished. However, it was a Sunday, and classes would start up again tomorrow the way they did every Monday, and she didn't want to spend the rest of her weekend studying!
So she was headed outside, her sketchpad in the bag she had slung over her shoulder. Emily didn't have the clumsiness of her brother, though she had the head-in-the-clouds bit -- which was why she wasn't really paying attention to where she was going. She was much too stuck in her world of daydreams.
