With all of the time that she put into working, studying, and everything else in her life, Sam loved when she had time to relax -- especially with members of her family. Aside from class and meals (the former didn't count at all), it felt as if she never got to see Ash, so actually having time to spend with the other girl? Yeah, that meant a lot to her.
Not to mention, that this particular meeting was... well, it felt like it'd be different, especially with the way that Ash had acted the night before.
... huh.
Still, she practically bounced into the Charms classroom the next day at lunch, her mood improved tons since they day before. "Ash!" She squealed a bit as she approached. "How're you?"
As soon as Sam entered the classroom, Ashleigh pushed the papers and all other forms of work across the desk from her.
She was known for working when she shouldn't and she didn't want to be tempted to grade papers while they ate and talked. Besides, as said, she had important news to tell her cousin and that didn't need to be interrupted with bad marks. (Not that any of her students ever made bad marks.)
"Sam!" she returned with just as much squeal. "How are you?"
Their last three words echoed into the room at the exact same time and it set Ashleigh into a bit of a giggle fit.
"I'm good!" she answered with possibly a little too much excitement. "You?"
It was nice, being able to spend time with family. Sure, there was an age gap between them, but they were close, and that was what mattered.
"Me?" She repeated with a grin, sliding into the empty seat, the bright smile never leaving her face. "I'm fantastic, actually," she said. "Definitely in a much, much better mood than I have been lately. Glad to see you too, of course."
Her head tilted to the side curiously and she raised her brow a bit at Ashleigh's giggles, which of course, led to her laughing a bit herself. "You seem to be a little more than good there, though," she observed. "Only a little bit, though."
Ashleigh could only nod at her cousin's words. She was a little more than good. She was bloody fantastic. Honestly, she didn't think she'd ever been happier her entire life.
"I am just a little bit more than good," she agreed with a smile larger than before. "Today is a good day. Don't you think?"
Rather than only sitting there and grinning like an idiot, she reached forward and popped a crisp into her mouth.
"I get lunch with you," she informed the girl after she finished chewing. "There are cookies. I have no more classes today. I have very few papers to grade. I get a date with my husband in Hogsmeade this evening... and I pregnant."
She had intentionally threw that last part in there but she didn't pause for a reaction.
"Plus... tomorrow, I think that I'm going to Charm Maible's hair green in class."

Could she get any happier?
