I have ONE EPISODE and then I'm done with Season Two of TB, btw. I'm much enjoying it - and I'm happy that the first two seasons more or less jive with the two books I read.
But I keep thinking there's stuff added in - like, I don't remember Jessica at all, and I didn't think Tara or Jason had such major roles (wait - was Tara even in the books?). But I think I like the storytelling better - because we can get out of Sookie's head, and see things from other POVs, and the writers have been awesome about putting Jason on the other side of things with the church people, and Tara and her own demons (literally).
We'll see what happens when I get to S3 and have NO CLUE WHAT IS GOING ON.
Oh, and if you think I can deal with canon/non-canon, I'll read your story for a grammar-check. But first:
"I know what you did saved my life. You could have told me, you know. You're plan.""Your plan", not "you're". Your = possessive form of you. You're = contraction for you are. Sookie is talking about Eric's plan, therefore you need the

The first two seasons are very close - just with MOAR everything. A lot of people were upset that Sookie didn't ask Eric for help at the orgy - but if that's what we traded for the rooftop scene with Godric, I will take it any day. (If you recall, in the books Godric was so, so not Eric's maker

Excellent. I just finished the last episode of S2 - I'll start S3 tomorrow and probably do an episode a night. (I'm weaving it in with DW S5, which Bill is finally watching - we're up to Amy's Choice.) So it won't take me much longer than about two weeks or so. I have NO issues being spoiled on S3 or the books, but expect stupid questions along those lines in the meantime.
I love Jason - he's so sweet and adorable, and I am so so so so happy that Lafayette isn't dead. I was annoyed as all hell when he was killed in the books, and I was so uber pleased that he didn't die in the show, because I like him even better on the screen.
Poor Eggs. I wish he'd been smarter about going to Andy. I understand why he did, but I just wish he'd been smarter about it. Because then Andy could have taken him in, and gotten him some help, and maybe in the end he'd have been okay

Agreed! Not killing Lafayette is one of the best changes the show made. I didn't start watching until season two, and I'm damn glad because the "Is Lafayette dead?" cliffhanger would have been an unpleasant year. Hilariously, for both the season two and three cliffhangers, I was like, "Oh show, I am so not worried," but THAT cliffhanger would have been nail biting

If you're around, I might just take you up on that!
At the moment I'm still working out all the dialogue. Trying to make sure I actually have enough material. And walking the ever precarious line of making Eric romantic, without turning him into a pansy.
I'm working on a research paper on the antiretroviral treatment use and opportunistic infections in AIDS patients. Believe me, I could use the distraction :) Email me, or hit me up on Skype.
