I Cannot Stop Making Tea Biscuits/Scones

The recipe is too easy.

In a bowl, stir together:
2 cups flour
4 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp cream of tartar
1/2 tsp salt
2 tbs sugar

Cut in 1/2 cup hard butter (slightly softened) until it's oatmealy.

Add 2/3 cup milk and stir until dough clings together.

You can roll it out and cut it into nice circular biscuits using a glass, but I prefer to grab handfuls of dough, roll them slightly and plop them.

Bake at 450 degress for 10 minutes.

I've made them now three times in the last week, and am seriously considering running to the grocery store after I've finished tutoring tonight because I've run out of butter.

Mindless post is mindless because otherwise I'd have to talk about how I just applied to job number nineteen. But it might all be for naught, because despite the fact that I took my Primary qualifications (so I can teach JK-3, in addition to 4-8), my university still hasn't forwarded my paperwork to the Ontario College of Teachers. Meaning my newest qualifications are not listed on my certificate and as a result the Apply To Education website, through which all jobs are applied for, will not list me as qualified to teach grades JK-3. And yes, I think you probably can guess exactly what jobs are being advertised at the moment. Also, Employment Insurance, which I should have been paid all summer, is still dicking me around. Why, gods, why?
