So I have been pretty lax on the whole posting about books thing. But I have actually finished several since the end of school:
-3 novels set in Eberron (a D&D world) about inquisitives (people who solve crimes). Highly entertaining, but nothing special.
-"Order of the Stick: Start of Darkness"-yeah, it's a comic book based on a webcomic, but since I told
aliskye that comic books count, I'm counting it.
-2 books by David Rakoff: "Fraud" and "Don't Get Too Comfortable". The guy is pretty funny-he's kind of like Sarah Vowell in the self-deprecating humor department, but unlike reading her stuff, you won't learn anything.
-"Mind Over Matter-Conversations with the Cosmos" by KC Cole, who used to be a science columnist for the L.A. Times. Because I am a nerd.
-"One for the Money" by Janet Evanovich.
aumtattoo loaned it to me to read on the plane home and I finished it before they served dinner. Highly entertaining.
Tonight I actually finished the laurel minutes, with the hope of sending them out tomorrow. Good times, and in under a week. It's a new personal best!
Still need to deal with the disaster that is the back of my house. Good feeling from watching "Clean House" is fading fast.
And Saturday I get to go to a training for the "Weightless Flights of Discovery" program. I totally got accepted to go up in the "Vomit Comet"! Zero G here I come...
