That right there defines everything about Charlie's issues in one sentence.

On the whole the fic made me giggle (especially the bit about listening to Sayid (THEY SHOULD!! They really should!)oh oh and calling Locke a loon because 1. He is. and 2. that is sooo Charlie, I could practically hear him saying it) but that line broke me.

Thats so Charlie though.. using humor to cover the complete suckiness of it all.

I can totally see this. And that last line...makes me think of the show's writers in particular, not knowing how to give Charlie any good story.
