fluff ficlet :)
well hello there again!
my friend cynthia_arrow dubbed today, the 3rd of December, fluff ficlet day! ( entry here), any fandom, any pairing
So because I love her - and fluff - I whipped out the Jack/Sawyer muse *gasps* and have a little something
Winter Wonderland, Jack/Sawyer, PG, exactly 300 words of fluff (future AU)
"Did you put your tie?" Jack asks, micromanaging from the bedroom.
Sawyer rolls his eyes as he finishes the knot. Sometimes, he's surprised that he remembers how to do such mundane things after living in the wild and chaos for so long.
"Yes Boss." He shouts back.
Putting on his suit jacket, Sawyer gives himself a final once over and smirks. He still has it. As he strolls in the hotel suite, Sawyer is surprised to find it empty. Surely Jack didn't go down without him? That's when he notices the shadow on the balcony and sure enough, Jack is out there, hands on hips and looking into the distance. It's freezing cold even a foot away from the door and Sawyer frowns as he steps outside, shivering.
"Are you trying to catch death, or what?"
Jack jumps, as if jarred out of deep thoughs. He turns and rubs at the back of his neck, with that small smile he makes when he's been caught unaware.
"No. No... It's snowing, that's all."
Well duh.
"We are on New Year's Eve in Bumfuck Canada, genious." Sawyer grumbles, but as he looks around he has to - inwardly - agree. It's really pretty and the biggest snow flakes he's ever seen fall slowly, envelopping everything and giving the night an eerie sense of peace.
Jack approaches, has to check Sawyer's tie himself of course, and then smiles as he dusts off snow flakes that try to hang on to Sawyer's shoulder.
"You look fantastic." It's quiet, a little bit awed and it makes Sawyer fidget.
"Are you surprised?" He counters and Jack laughs, unguarded and Sawyer's wannabe smirk turns into a real smile too.
"Not all all." Jack whispers before kissing Sawyer's cheekbone, replacing the tingling shiver of snow with soft heat.
