You've have to hand it to the kids in this world. They're all so ambitious and ready to start these giant quests that have them travelling all over the world. Sometimes it doesn't quite work out, but to know that something like being a Pokemon trainer made a mark on someone even as young as this kid is pretty humbling. The lure of Pokemon is hypnotic, almost. It's like it's a rite of passage or something.
I couldn't believe that he was so young and still wanted to set out from home and do this- I guess, in a way, it's sort of like when we joined the agency. We set off from home and embarked on a path, and some of us weren't much older than 10 or 11. But still, it was pretty scary knowing that somewhere out there, there was a young kid who was lost and didn't know what he was doing.
Somehow it's a lot scarier than joining the agency was, you know? You said it yourself -- this is a crazy world where a lot of really shady stuff happens. At least you and Jeter found him and brought him home to safety.
Jeter kind of thinks he is super hot stuff now, but I suppose that's alright. Mo was getting so much attention that maybe it's good for the others to get some, too. :)
The kids are crazy in this world I swear. At least a bit impulsive- we had one come to the museum because he was obsessed with fossil Pokemon and he was only 10.
Yeah it was kind of crazy and nerve-wracking, since it's a close knit community here and I knew the mother AND the kid anyway, just from seeing them around and interacting with them. It's a far different environment than Tokyo, that's for sure.
I don't think it's making people weird, just... different from what they were. I think it's giving us more freedom to express ourselves and be who we want to be. I guess I kind of like that. :)
I like to think we have fairly decent survival instincts. All those years in Johnny's fending off crazy fans, and all. (And at least the people here cut their nails.)
