[39] kind of like a hero
Dear Diary,
There was a bit of a scare here in Goldenrod the other day. A regular at the florist's came in and was completely panicked, babbling something about how her son had gotten mad when she told him that he wasn't old enough to go and be a Pokemon trainer, and had taken the family's Wartortle and started off on his own. The kid was only 8, and his mom was so worried about him.
We ended up organizing a search party and going out to try and find him. Since we didn't know what direction he'd even gone in, they utilized those of us with Pokemon who could track- so Jeter, me, and the team went out to help. And we ended up finding him, on the route up to Ecruteak. Jeter was completely amazing. He found the kid, who was sitting and crying near a tree because he'd gotten scared when a wild Pokemon had ambushed him, and ended up carrying him back to Goldenrod. I was really proud. :)
So, at least it worked out alright. It was really nerve-wracking knowing that there was a little kid out there who was probably lost and scared, especially given everything I've seen in this world, like the Pokemon traps back near Veilstone. I'm glad it ended up being okay.
He even gave Jeter a hug when we got back. I should have snapped a picture, it was really cute. ♥
