we're lucky, and we live a life where we have time to gather the skills and knowledge before we go out to the real world.

and we're in such a safe bubble that it's so easy to just want to continue living there.

When I was a kid, right-wing conspiracy theorists tried to convince me that dinosaurs never existed. When I was a young adult, left-wing conspiracy theorists tried to convince me that the moon landing wasn't real, either. Phooey on all of you.
