my phone's back on, my electricity's back on....so what if i only have $70 for the week... at least i can talk to people again.
I stayed up really late last night reading Lovecraft by candle-light...spo-o-o-oky.... or something.
can you believe that i've gone over 23 years without ever reading lovecraft? yeah. went to Borders yesterday with Joe's present forom easter and picked up some light reading material for those coupla days i'm not over his place... A collection of Lovecraft stories (so far so good), The Ultimate Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (the complete collection-plus a couple others), and Lamb: the Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal. I started reading that one at Jason's while i was playing with the kitties. I't Vi's so i won't be borrowing it, but i on'y got about halfway through. It's worth owning....I don't say that abput many books. I borrow alot....own a bunch, but it takes quite a bit now to get on my Must Own Or Die book-list. I need to find Angela Carter's collection now.
anyhoo...i'm just killing time here at the mother's house. laundry's in, my stomach is telling me i'd better eat soon, my bills are pretty much paid. i still owe $75 for last months loan and $65 for this months. Car insurance is due next week, credit thingy is being taken out friday night....new phone bill's due in 2 weeks....blah. i hate money. or i hate not having it. or i hate owing so much. i dunno. there's just something about the whole money thing that bothers me.
I vote we revert to the barter system. of course, i really don't have much to barter with...services, i suppose... no, you pervert, i was thinking about dish washing or housekeekping or something along those lines...god, you people are sick.
So i'm gonna forage for food now, then call my boy and Jason....
