's' is for sleepless.

...I'm still alive, actually.

Last Sunday, October 8, to be exact, was Shin's second birthday. How time flies! So I bought him a cake (that I've always wanted to try, yum) and snapped a picture. XD It's a really shitty picture, I'm afraid... it was taken at night, in my room, where the light is a mixture of green and yellow (what's worse than that?). And I used a speedlight I have yet to return (oops), and bounced some light off my pink wardrobe (yes, I'm sorry it's pink), which (I hope) gave the picture a subtle peachy hue? Or something? Err. I don't know, lol.

And so, for nostalgia's sake, I got Shin to pose with his duck plushie, aptly named Shin's Toy. :D Happy birthday, dear Shin! (I can't believe it's been two years since he first arrived!!!)

To be exact, I snapped the picture on Sunday... and haven't had time to upload it till today. No, I haven't had time to do anything (else other than homework) since I came back a week and half ago.

I'd naively thought that after I return from Nepal, I'd have more free time to myself. But I was never..wronger. And so, it's becoming some kind of sick trend that I don't actually get to sleep on Tuesday nights, sometimes even Monday nights too.

I don't think I have had THIS many (involuntary) sleepless nights throughout my career as a college student... I have never seen the sun rise so many times (because I was kept up the entire night).

It's like one deadline after another. And worse, they always all clash. Why is homework endless? It makes me feel like I'm such a hardworking student, wow hey?! Wrong, of course. I don't know why everything just accumulates... like on Monday and Tuesday, I didn't even watch Gokusen (!) just so I could work on my story from Nepal but yeah. I did not sleep the entire night on Tuesday (except for a few short hours on my computer chair...), because I had four fricking deadlines for Wednesday morning afternoon... in the end, I only managed to complete three and I had to rush off to school (half an hour late too). And the fourth one, I only finished today. Sigh. I hope the same thing won't happen again next week.

You know, with all this non-sleep I'm getting and sporadic meals (somewhat)... I don't think it'd be too surprising if I just keel over and die. Or something. Zomg.

(And I have a confession to make: I have not had time to read my friends list since err Sept 23, which is the day I left for Nepal, kthxbye ._.)

It's the Nepal trip's fault. (Why do I not have a term break? ... *weeps*) But then, Nepal was really fun -- more so than the first time. And to think after my first trip there, I was like, omg, I really don't want to go to Nepal EVER again. Haha. But actually, I do now. I don't exactly love Nepal, but I do miss it somewhat. D:

It's extremely embarrassing, but even though I've been there twice now (!), I have never travelled out of Kathmandu... and never seen any snow-capped mountains (except from a GREAT distance when the weather in Kathmandu was really fine). And so, I've decided if I ever do get the chance to return to Kathmandu, I really must do all the touristy things I've never done. And go see the Himalayas, of course.

Last Saturday, I was craving for good North Indian food that I did not get to eat in Nepal (and which I heard is "dirt cheap" there..sigh, no time) so hucks and I went to Little India. XD I swear some of the alleys smell like Nepal. D: But to be fair, it's really not that similar to Nepal, haha... in the end, we had South Indian food. But I really, really want to eat North Indian food... (but don't want to spend a bomb) Does anyone have any recommendations? ._.

And on Sunday, I went to the Liang Court Kino and found Demain Syndrome in Chinese, zomg! D: And Love*Com Vol.12 and 13 finally...! (Why does the Taka Kino not have them?) I think I was so ridiculously happy, my mum thought I was mad. Haha. Now, every time I see Otani Atsushi, I get instantly reminded of Teppei. Not like it's a bad thing of course XD But I think the more I look at Atsushi, the more I think Teppei fits the role PERFECTLY. Eee ♥ I really can't wait to watch the movie... (must we really wait till January? ._.)
