once a year.
Happy birthday to me, haha. ;D (Yes, I only just realised recently that I actually share the same birthday with the Queen!) It's one of those rare birthdays where I don't actually have to care about exams at all... but instead, I spent my day at work this time. D:
Last night, I thought I could meet my parents for a relatively nice dinner but a last minute assignment (which never materialised, by the way -_-) and a lot of subsequent fruitless waiting foiled my plans instead. I only went back at about 10.45pm.
In the morning, I went to chase a story (which didn't materialise again -_-), and following that, went back to office for lunch with my friends. That was when I received a strange phonecall informing me that I ought to be expecting something from the reception. It was a bunch of 12 roses from hucks. >:)
At about 7.15pm, I decided it was time to sneak out of the office to meet my family and hucks for dinner, even though my story hasn't been cleared. :X But there was no sign of it being cleared any time soon at all and I didn't really want to stick around to wait aimlessly again, so... I swear it's the first time I'm doing something like this at all. And the last time, too, really!
Keiji, who is my birthday present for myself XD (I think he looks especially good today ♥) ...the flowers and the yummy and pretty cake from Häagen-Dazs which was nearly melting beyond salvation because we were taking too many photos of it. XD Please ignore the mess on the top right corner!
Thank you all my dear friends who sent me birthday wishes. I think it's amazing how the same people always remember year after year. :D
More pictures tomorrow? Hopefully?
...I just realised I haven't been checking my LJ and friends' list since Monday... my life has been consumed by a monster(?). D:
Oh, tomorrow is Earth Day!
