Dio REALLY sucks!
Ok, it's official - Dio sucks. Like, a lot! I never thought I'd be saying this, but it's true! Mainly because of the way they handle things at Dio. We don't pay so much school fees for the staff to be disorganised and screw up our timetables even on the day classes start! So many people had problems in their timetables this morning! 2. House system at King's? Is one of the things I love most about it here. I love it, love it, love it.
3. English and Maths is streamed, the rest of the classes aren't. But they don't need to be streamed anyway. There will inevitably be a zillion smart people in your class.
4. Dean? Word. Do you remember that time she marched in during concert band and tried to physically threaten the concert band director person whose name I can't remember? Debbie Prince, right?

Oh, I was imitating the dean in English today and the whole class cracked up, including the teacher. And then we were all talking about what we should do to the uniform: make everyone tuck the shirts in, and do all the buttons up, have flashing holographic stars and programmable belts saying "ut serviamus" and "we love Mildy". But eurgh, the dean is an idiot.
*sigh* I am SO glad I took Physical Science. Cheryl, you rock for persuading me to do that.

:D OF course I'm awesome! Physical Science itself is brilliant, I just hate the people in my class. They're really annoying, and half of them are stupid! And it's supposed to be a geek subject! Gosh.

Gah, I don't know what I'm going to do when we swap teachers for physics. You can really notice the difference on the days I don't have physics - those are the days I complain about the idiots.
I wish people's parents would just let them do what they want, then we wouldn't have to worry.

3. You can't afford to be stuck up at King's... you'll get a really bad reputation and you'll be mocked for the rest of your time at King's. Why don't you want to do IB?

Oh applications don't really close til quite late. I know they've had applications in though, and they've already started interviewing and showing the potential new boys around. Amy and Steph didn't apply til about June, July last year. Of course if you apply then there's more competition for places and such, but you're a really good student so it's not like they'll stop you.

3. Lol yup. THE reputation. I dunno. Like, it's just kinda scary. And its all new! Which makes it scarier. But the scariest thing is that there's an exam over TWO years' worth of work, which is quite, well, puts a lot of pressure really. What if you stuff up? Then basically you're screwed!

Yeah, my brother's applied. Dunno if he'll get it though. It might be a bit late! >< Mum doesn't really want me to apply though, but I can't stop nagging about how bad Dio is at home so she might consider letting me apply, but she says there's no rush. So...I dunno.

3. Well, yeah, but CIE is also sort of like that. Like, you marks from AS count for 50% of your A2 marks. Yeah, I know that it's different from IB which is actually an exam of two years' work, but meh. I think you'll end up doing IB over NCEA just because it isn't NCEA anyway.
4. Yeah I know she is. :D I mean we were like to Rose, 'But the CB director is new and doesn't know anything! GIve her a break!' etc. Weren't you the only oboist in CB last year anyway?
Hmm, it's probably not too late.It's a lot harder for guys to get in than girls, actually, I think. You'll get in no problem. Tell her that you don't have to go just because you've applied, it's just another option for you, if that helps. Yeah, mum wants Roy to get into Kings more than me. Mainly cos I think she knows I can and doesn't think Roy can. But I think we've sent that application too late! I told mum to send it in earlier. Do you think its ok if we sent it in the first week this year after the Term started? I think its too late. The internet says the end of year 7! I'm worried >
