Dio REALLY sucks!
Ok, it's official - Dio sucks. Like, a lot! I never thought I'd be saying this, but it's true! Mainly because of the way they handle things at Dio. We don't pay so much school fees for the staff to be disorganised and screw up our timetables even on the day classes start! So many people had problems in their timetables this morning! It's just ridiculous! I mean, the day classes start? Dude, this is "Dio"! It's supposed to be all great - but its not! And therefore, it's horrible and I do have my reasons for disliking it - here are some reasons:
1) Timetabling
2) House System at Dio
3) Classes not being streamed

1) Timetabling
Oh god, thinking about this just makes me furious! My options for this year were: Physical Science, Japanese, Level 2 History. It's so annoying! Because guess what? Classes starts on Tuesday and they tell us at 3:15pm on Monday (the day before classes started) that no we can't do Level 2 History! Instead, in probably 30 seconds, we had to choose between Accounting, Geography or Classics! I chose classics, but it's just furiating! Options are very important and you can't just change what you want to take in 30 seconds to something else! I mean, Classics itself isn't that bad, and maybe if the fucking dean just took maybe 3 minutes to explain why we couldn't do Level 2 History (cos physically it can't happen), maybe I wouldn't be so pissed, but no! The deputy principal, Ms Young had to explain this morning. If they told us before the holidays, it would be okay because I would've had 2 months to process it and get over it but no, they just HAD TO break it to us maybe a day before classes start? It's absolutely ridiculous! And also, I hate the attitude, heck, we're the students so since when have they had the right to be so impatient towards us? Especially since its OUR options and it's OUR education!?!?!? Dude! And I'm not the only one, a lot of my friends have been forced to take subjects they don't want to take, why? Because Dio is so disorganised at timetabling and screw up EVERYONE's options. And no, you can't say it's all because of IB because IB hasn't even come into the picture yet. Despite all the training and crap, our parents don't pay such a large amount of money to our school for us to get so upset and annoyed because we can't study what we want and thus directly affecting what we want to do in the future! Dio really sucks.
2) House System at Dio
This is also really silly! Seriously, it just won't work at Dio! Making new friends? Seriously, are we 5? Dio is so clique-y. Everyone is in groups. They may change but do they seriously expect us to make friends who we've never been in the same class as let alone possibly even had a conversation? I mean dude, the stuff we talk about is totally different. They talk about the social stuff like, 'o-m-g! who's going out with who' kinda conversations whereas we're more weird and talk about, um, Star Wars! Also, people here don't HAVE house spirit and thus it will NOT work! Therefore a waste of time. They can't force it upon you. If you don't have it - You simply don't! That's all! And guess what? I HATE IT!
3) Streaming at Dio
There is a thing that's called streaming in education to separate the smart people and the stupid people. I fail to understand why Dio does not get the fact that people were perfectly happy (especially the SMART people) before they went and unstreamed all the classes. Why is it so bad? People who go to other schools might be like, it's good not to stream classes, but are people that stupid like the people at Dio? Really! OMG Why do we need to draw electrons? or OMG is VENUS a Planet!? OMG! IT's absolutely ridiculous - the level of stupidity. Half my class this year can't read properly, hate reading and so we're studying To Kill a Mockingbird early because my teacher wants the people to UNDERSTAND the book, which I doubt they will in the end. It just annoys me greatly. Moreover, even with the smart people - WHY ARE PEOPLE SO ANNOYING AND BITCHY!? Oh I just really hate the atmosphere at Dio. I know I'm a bit hard to please, but really, I know for a fact that I cannot stand 95% of my year level because they are either plain stupid or annoying or both! Really. Why am I stuck with idiots? Why did they put me in a class where people think I'm a freak because I do two level 2 subjects? Why do people think I'm a freak because I like sitting in the front? Why is Dio doing this? I feel like I haven't learnt anything at all! At the moment, I feel like school is such a waste of time. I only enjoy Physical Science, Level 2 Classics and Level 2 Maths. Physical Science the subject itself I absolutely love, but quite frankly I just hate the people! They either leech off you, are stupid or are VERY annoying! Only 2 I find "normal". But it's mainly science and english! They could've EASILY streamed the classes, since English and Science are in the same option line! But no, they didn't because they want us to mix! Why can't Dio see that it's the smart people who suffer from this? They're the ones who get laughed at, looked down upon because they actually TRY to work hard and to do well rather than thinking about what to do on Friday nights?
4) The Dean
Oh my gosh. She is actually horrible. Really. She's done everything bad you could possibly think of. Screwing up options and telling us at the last minute and don't seem sorry! Can't seem to do her job properly! HAS TO HAVE THOSE FUCKING ANNOYING TABLES IN OUR COMM! It's such a waste of space! Like, really! And how she tells us we've been pigs leaving the comm a mess WHEN SHE WAS THE ONE WHO CAME TO US AND TOLD US TO LEAVE EVERYTHING AND GO TO CHAPEL! STUPID WOMAN! Oh god. She's got this really annoying voice too. Not to mention she's never there in her office! How the heck are we supposed to look for her when we have a problem? It's actually annoying. But what the worse thing she could've done is basically lock up the comm WITH OUR LOCKERS IN IT and open it during before/after school, morning tea, lunch. I'm pretty certain she's never thought of the fact that people who come into school half way through a period because of personal reasons such a music exams can't ACCESS their lockers during that time because guess what? THE COMM IS LOCKED UP! It's so annoying! No, and she tells us its our fault and not her! How ridiculous is that? Oh god she's really horrible. She doesn't make that effort. Learning our names? Ha! As if, probably a resolution for the first 2 days of school and that's it. So far, rating out of 10? 1 stars. She is actually that bad.
I really hate the people at school as well. I don't feel I belong at Dio. I don't feel like I like it, during school I always seem to have this feeling of hatred towards many people. Especially Rebecca Gray. I really dislike her. She's just. Argh. Only people I think that keeps me sane are probably Anna and Mavis and others. But you know. Dio just really sucks compared to last year. It could be that I had a really good year last year. But this year? I just really don't like it.
