I was pondering why I enjoy the Dollhouse so much, today. I think it reminds me a lot of another show I really used to like called The Pretender. Aside from not having the incredibly talented and hunky hero (though Topher is cute in his own way), it does have that ability to become anyone that interested me in the first place. As a kid I watched The Pretender and imagined I was smart enough to take on any job I put my hand to. While that hasn't quite come true, I still have my hopes ;)
Also, it has Eliza Dushku, whom I've loved since I watched Tru Calling (unfortunately canceled after a semi-story conclusion that didn't really close things) back in college. And, some of the roles remind me of Jessica Alba from Dark Angel, which is a show I -loved- (also canceled after a super lame story conclusion).
My only complaint about Dollhouse has nothing to do with the show. Seeing a college campus, and a med lab specifically in a few episodes has really reminded me of how much I want to go back to school. But, that's something that has to wait. Aside from work obligations, I have debt to pay down. But, I feel very confident! I had a five-year plan but it looks like maybe I can get rid of my debt in 2. That's aside from my investments which are still paying out above 10%. Yay :)
Sometimes I feel really old, having finished college and supporting myself, ect ect. But, then I remember I'm still only 24 (!!!!!!!!) and just for kicks, Eliza is only 4 years older than me :P
Oh what the future still holds!
