The more you minimalize, the more you realise just how much money you wasted. Straight wasted :(
On the plus side, you can now see how much money you're saving by not spending on unnecessary items...
I am now moving over to cash from CC. I will keep my CC for emergencies but will no longer buy items with it. It wasn't a move I had expected myself to take, but my budget's about to get even tighter because I MUST pay off a large loan within a year, so that I can afford to send my kid to daycare when I return to work.
Thus... I have a budget already. I know what expenses are static, and which ones change, but are regular.
And if I have cash, I will be limited to it. So I will take enough out for buying cat food/litter, and groceries.
Also, I intend to ONLY buy fresh produce until my cupboards are almost bare. I have bought too much food and my cupboards are full. And I still eat out more then I should, rather then cooking so some of my fridge food goes to waste, but I still have tons of cupboard food. Since I will be limiting what I can spend to the cash in my wallet, I WILL have to rely on real home made food. And I imagine the next two months won't cost too much in groceries since I've got quite a stock in my cupboards and freezer to start.
Now, to get my tea mug out so I can start using it regularly (no more starbucks or tims). And I will HAVE to bring snacks with me all the time as I'm pregnant and can't afford to go hungry (makes me sick and not good for baby).
I'm pretty excited to see my debt go down :)
