Ok you computer geeks, I need help.
So I come home and D tells me he's got this weird antivirus pop up on his computer. Yup. Virus. Windows Antivirus Pro Virus to be exact.
But that's not really the problem. I got rid of that.
I think I may have terminated a process that the computer needs to launch certain windows. The one that I think may have caused the problem was one of the svchost processes. oops. For example, firefox will not open, but it shows up in the processes. So it's open, but I can't see the window. I can open the control panel, but if I click on anything to open it, it won't.
I tried to restore. No luck, seeing that apparently the computer decided that creating a restore point is silly. So no dice there.
Everything else works fine, but this even happens in safe mode..
any ideas? if i reboot with the disc(if I can find it), will that help?
