i could be interested in doing the lighting & sound for you, although i'm a little on the rusty side. i lit dozens of shows at university, and was LD on a a show selected for the NSDF and a couple of shows at edinburgh a very long time ago.

Oh my god! That would be amazing! I would definitely like to investigate that possibility. I could also try and budget for your expenses (dependant on receiving an arts grant). I know you haven't said yes but thank you for the possibility/interest.

i can't imagine what expenses i'll incur walking from chalk farm to the oxford arms =)

the only question is whether i can commit the time; we'll have to work what it'll take, and then i'll work out whether i can do it. what might help with that is finding someone prepared to operate the board for some of the shows, so i don't have to sit through all of them pushing the buttons.

at least i know that the etcetera don't have any fancy modern lights that i don't understand!

ok, that's cool. With the other lighting people I have spoken to so far, they'd need a dress rehearsal to figure out what they'd want to do with the lighting and then there are 12 performances from 7-9pm from 8-20 November. (tues to sun).

is that "curtain up at 7:00pm" or "you get there at 7:00pm, house opens, curtain up at 7:30"?

fuck it, i recon i can do it either way. i'm in. i can try an knock up a theatrical cv, if you want one. go back through all the old scripts & programmes.

wow! this is very exciting. thanks very much. the good news is that you won't have to come to nearly three months of rehearsals. we'll just need you for about 2 weeks and a few weeks near the end! yes, thank you so much as the royalties for zoo story are going to kill me! btw just double checking that you are definitely in from let's say about guy fawkes night to 20 november as i will need to include precise details in the arts grant application! a xx
