"Bwat-m-a-n...!" Carrillo hugs Batman's leg. The gangster wraps his arms around the Caped Crusader's muscular calf like a shipwreck victim would cling to a life preserver.

Red Hood lowers the gun.
He lowers the gun and fires, straight into Carrillo's trunk.

Maybe it was the movement of the cape. Or perhaps Carrillo's attempts to climb him made the difference. What ever the reason the shot just grazes the makes ribs and back, It will be a nasty flesh wound, but at this point it's of no concern at all.

Slurred speech. Unfocused eyes. What if the dead man's final action hadn't been random? Even as he's musing that, Batman is ducking, firing the tranq darts who know won't make it through Jason's armour.

He dives forward and dukes the first and the second dart. The third one sticks into his costume stuffing. Who cares? Didn't even feel that. He rolls, is on his feet again.

Red Hood lunges onward, at Batman.

No! Damnit! Why can't Jason listen to him just this once?! But that's how they got here. Jason hadn't listened, he'd left chasing his mother. But.

One last dart. it's in his hand as Jason closes with him. The Bat dances, dodging narrowly, letting the young man close. Let he feel like he's gets some hits in. That shot to his jaw is only a graze. Just. A little more.

Then he's moving, pulling the dart, trying to jab it at the tiny seam between helmet and neck.

Jason feels it this time. He feels the tip of the needle biting his skin. He swings and smashes the heavy butt of the gun right in Bruce's face.

"No. He's gone. I need medics in here. Now," He growls into the comm.

The Bat looks at the two gasping men. One is trying to get to his feet, to move and that's a very good thing since the object it keep their rate rates up. He just needs to make sure that the man sticks around long enough for the medical help to get to him.

Gordon frowns. "They're on their way. Which way did your man go?"

"East," is the honest reply. He doubts that Gordon's men will catch him. Not. Not yet. There is something happening with Jason, something that Bruce doesn't understand yet. But he will.

Gordon nods. "Thanks," he says, meaning it. He doesn't really expect to catch the culprit now--not if he gave Batman the slip. But it's nice to have the opportunity at least.
