Another round of extended radio silence for which I apologise but a new job and my Masters thesis got in the way of blogging. But the goth girl is back and hungrier than ever... with about 3 months of meals to catch up on at that!

I had been previously unimpressed with the very Westernised Asian food in the USA - though I admit I am very spoilt by living in Australia and with the sharpened palette of an otaku and sometime sinophile.

My friend fatherdog insisted we visit this theme restaurant while I was in New York; being that I like Japanese food and utter silliness. Ninja is rather on the American side of Japanese cuisine but it's Asian fusion tastiness and a lot of fun.

Surprisingly given I am a tragic otaku and computer nerd I had never been into the Capitol Square building. It's a dangerous place filled with components stores, purikura machines and Japanese nail booths.

Nothing beats an onsen holiday, pottering around Japanese style rooms in yukata doing nothing but drinking, eating and bathing, it's my kind of holiday.
