I must admit. I've spent some time tonight reading this HEY! SPN fandom! thanks to somebody linking to the post. I was halfway through wondering why it hadn't already shown up on fandom wank when I saw that the poster was underage, and fandom wank has a very strict rule about these things ( Read more... )

I am pretty sure , stuff liked that happened ages before sv was even an idea, and when fan were clinging to usenet (or what that was before browsers came along) and before internet, there were fanzines, where the editors were being accused of the same things *g*
now the net just takes it to a higher level.

I know most of the names being named, and know what?
one fandoms bnf is the next Who the f-ck ?

This all has been happening in fandom forever. It will probably always happen. The net just makes it easier and faster to bitch.

is a 16 year old fannish baby.
not wanting to discriminate youngsters, but before I would take someone serious, and give her the right to pass judgement on any fandom as a whole, non-withstanding SPN, she should at least have 5 years of fannish experiences. coz nothing she said is news in any shape or form.
